2nd of 3 New X-Men Origins: Wolverine TV Spots Now Online - “Brothers”

Yup, I’m that much more excited for Wolverine: Origins thanks to the second helping of “snikt” 20th Century FOX has released online in as many days!  The intriguingly named “Brothers” is an exciting follow up to the ”Outcasts“ TV spot yesterday, this time deciding to focus more on Logan the soldier as opposed to a child with puberty issues.  With only one more spot remaining to be released, I find myself curious as to what will be given the spotlight next.  My guess is that the multiple mutants set to appear in the movie will be front and center.  A third TV spot featuring more Deadpool and Gambit would meet with approval from this particular X-fan.

Yeah, so the title of this spot is “Brothers“…  Are the editors implying that Wolverine and Sabretooth are siblings in this flick?  I`m not sure if I`m totally on board with that possibility as I have always preferred the idea of Logan and Creed to be adversaries with no family ties.  This isn`t to say I wouldn`t enter the theatre with an open mind if the 2 similar mutants do in fact belong to the same family tree.  Who  knows, maybe an enthralling story could come out of that idea.  Potential sibling rivalry at its greatest…   Time will tell on this one.

This spot featured the most footage I have seen of war hero Wolverine to date and it appears that a good chunk of time will be spent during this period of Logan`s life as evident by the amount of shots depicted.  Initially I wasn`t too interested to see this time in his life as I`m not a big war buff, but the quick scenes I saw in the spot have turned me around completely.  Wolverine in front of a shooting squad has been done in the comics many times, but I have never seen it on the big screen.  Not until May 1st, that is…

Now we just have to be patient and wait for the 3rd and final TV spot to air and find its way online.  If it `s anything like the first 2 (and there`s really no reason it shouldn`t be), then it will be worth the wait.

Ah, who am I kidding…  I`m not patient.  My kingdom for a flux capacitor!!!
