New X-Men Origins: Wolverine “Outcasts” TV Spot = Kid Wolvie With Bone Claws!!!
I legitimately do not care one bit what other people are saying about X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The somewhat negative buzz surrounding this potential summer blockbuster completely astounds me. Much of what I have seen up to this point has only added to my anticipation to see this movie on May 1st and viewing the first of a reported 3 new TV spots being shown on FOX TV over consecutive nights this week has only ramped that enthusiasm up even more!

The more footage that is released for this movie makes it very apparent that the Wolverine: Origins mini-series by Paul Jenkins and Andy Kubert will play a major role in the storyline. Some of the scenes look like they may have even been pulled from the comic book panels. This is a practice that has recently paid off for movie like Sin City and 300 so why not apply it to the old Canucklehead?
Did you see adolescent “James” slide (NOT pop) his claws for the first time? Man, they got it right. That looked EXACTLY as it should on screen. Partner that scene with “Mini-Wolvie” running towards his target, screaming with rage as his brand new BONE claws search for their first victim and you truly have an amazing origin story. Awesome.
60 second pieces are not enough! We need more. Luckily it sounds like we don’t have long to wait until the next taste is offered to us. I will keep my eyes peeled for the second and third TV spots to appear online over the next couple of days and will post them accordingly. If they can deliver the same punch as this first spot, we’re all in for some satisfying ”bite -sized” Wolverine goodness.
